Aerion Ray Showcase Flight at ILA in Berlin

In June, the Aerion Ray project was unveiled to the public for the first time during a product demonstration at the ILA. The Aerion Ray was developed in collaboration with HENSOLDT AG, VALOFLY GmbH, and Hanseatic Aviation Solutions GmbH to provide temporary, highly mobile surveillance of critical infrastructure, such as ports. The active tethered drone system is easy to deploy thanks to power and data transmission via the TGS racktTether and requires minimal personnel for setup and operation. The Aerion Ray can thus be considered a mobile, rapidly deployable alternative to complex mast installations for temporary surveillance. The European supply chain ensures safe operations. The system is easy to integrate, allowing data captured by the drone to be distributed in real time.

During the ILA, the system was demonstrated in a short showcase flight, while a presentation provided deeper insights into the Aerion Ray’s functionality and deployment scenarios. Following the demonstration, the active tethered drone system was on display at the HENSOLDT booth.
