Landrätin Astrid Klinkert-Kittel visits VALOFLY GmbH

Landrätin Astrid Klinkert-Kittel, accompanied by Holger Mißling from the Northeim Regional Economic Development Agency, visited VALOFLY GmbH in Einbeck. During a product demonstration, Managing Director Daniel Stahlmann provided an overview of the company’s portfolio and afterwards engaged in productive discussions about challenges, opportunities, and perspectives for the Northeim district as a business location.

VALOFLY GmbH develops and manufactures active tether systems for drones to supply them with power and data transmission via cable. In doing so, Daniel Stahlmann and his team work closely with their partners to address specific needs and ideas for individual applications. Thanks to the continuous power supply, and thus theoretically unlimited flight time, as well as real-time data transmission between the drone and the tether ground station, tethered drones are used, for example, in disaster management. This could benefit the district directly on-site, such as within the district fire department, particularly for implementing communication applications in disaster cases covering large areas.

During the visit, Klinkert-Kittel and Mißling gained valuable insights into the business processes and range of services offered by VALOFLY GmbH. Following a product demonstration of the “Avior” tether ground station, a discussion took place to address the challenges and perspectives for VALOFLY GmbH in the Northeim district. A successful startup isn’t everything, noted Daniel Stahlmann; rather, it’s about making the most of existing resources to help the company grow. He addressed to the city of Einbeck and the Northeim district not to focus solely on startups, but also to prioritize young companies and support them in establishing themselves.

The visitors were impressed by the dedication of the five-person team: “VALOFLY is a great example of an idea that began in a garage and, through passion and unwavering dedication, has grown into remarkable success and a young company. Their journey is an inspiration for young entrepreneurs to start businesses in the Northeim district and pursue their goals” said Landrätin Klinkert-Kittel.

She emphasized the need for close cooperation between the public and private sectors to further strengthen the region as a business hub and promote sustainable development.
