Chancellor Friedrich Merz opens "Synnoscape" — msg.MOEWE presentation

On February 2, 2026, Bruno Reufels, CEO of the Niedax Group, joined German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in launching the Synnoscape network at the Niedax Group’s new technology campus, with the participation of Gordon Schnieder (CDU parliamentary group leader in the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament, MdL) and Patrick Schnieder (Federal Minister of Transport of the Federal Republic of Germany, MdB). Following the opening, experts from politics, economy, and society discussed challenges of the present infrastructure and innovative solutions.

Synnoscape is a network of several companies dedicated to ideas and concepts in the fields of infrastructure, communication, and security for the future. At the technology campus, under the auspices of the Niedax Group, solutions are being developed by various institutions on topics such as fiber-optic expansion, secure infrastructure, sustainable energy supply, and communication.

Within the network, msg Defence & Aerospace serves as the integrator of network and digitalization solutions. In particular, the active tethered drone system msg.MOEWE caught the attention of German Chancellor Merz. The system enables multi-sensor-based surveillance and autonomous response to situations that require it. The VALOFLY rackTether provides a continous power supply to the ORKA drone developed by CiS Drohnensysteme & Nezinformation to enable operation without time limit. Via the cable it is ensured to transmit data from the drone and sensors interference-free to a ground interface.
